Amidst local festivities in Prince George, British Columbia, Horizon Air began it's new nonstop service between Seattle and Prince George, its newest Canadian city in May 2008.
This new flight will be of benefit to the northern tourism industry in general and the hunting industry in particular as US residents will find it much easier to travel direct to Prince George as a central location rather than stopping in Vancouver to change planes.
Horizon's once-daily service will depart from Prince George at 3:45 p.m. and from Seattle at 1:20 p.m. The flight -- which takes an hour and 45 minutes -- will be operated with the airline's 76-seat Q400 turboprop aircraft, manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace.
Tickets to Prince George are available for sale through www.horizonair.com or by calling Horizon Air Reservations at 800-547-9308.
