Our Location

Bear Lake Guides and Outfitters is located approximately 120 miles north east of Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. The hunting area encompasses approx. 1700 square miles.  We offer you the beauty of British Columbia, from gentle rolling hills up to the majestic Rocky Mountains. You will find an abundance of terrain that takes in three main water sheds and many lakes.  The elevation in this rugged and breathtaking area varies from 2200 ft to over 7500 ft above sea level.

What We Hunt

The hunting business of Bear Lake Guides & Outfitters is owned and operated by Dirk and Traute Schuirmann. We run our operation on a small scale basis to provide our clients with personal service and to ensure a successful hunting trip. Offering big game hunts for Grizzly Bear, Black Bear, Moose and Wolf we have had many successful hunting adventures over many years of hunting in the BC Backcountry.
